Read a payment intent from the browser

Read the current state of a payment intent from the merchant's checkout page.

Send the publishable key and the intent's client_secret in the request body, never in the URL. monarch-zenoz.js uses this after a 3-D Secure challenge and in handleNextAction().

The response contains only fields that are safe to show in a browser. If a 3-D Secure challenge has passed its 10-minute limit, reading the intent resolves it as authentication_timeout.

200{ id, object, amount_cents, fee_bearer, fee_amount_cents, amount_total_cents, currency, status, failure_reason, decline_code, next_action, three_ds, livemode }. amount_total_cents is what the card will be charged; fee_amount_cents is the payer-paid card fee.

400Invalid request payload or query parameters.

401Missing or invalid authentication credentials.

403Caller lacks the required role/permission for the resource.

404Resource does not exist or is not visible to the caller.

409Request conflicts with current resource state (e.g. duplicate key, stale version).

500Unexpected server error.
