Deactivate a payment instrument

Deactivate a saved payment instrument so it can no longer be used for payments.

Authenticate with a dashboard session token or a merchant secret key (X-API-Key). A secret key sees only its own merchant's instruments; another merchant's instruments return 404. Publishable, payout_write and agent_onboarding keys are refused.

200Instrument deactivated (status: inactive).

400Invalid request payload or query parameters.

401Missing or invalid authentication credentials.

403Caller lacks the required role/permission for the resource.

404Resource does not exist or is not visible to the caller.

409Request conflicts with current resource state (e.g. duplicate key, stale version).

500Unexpected server error.
