A merchant's MCC is the four-digit code card networks use to classify the business. Instead of scrolling the full list, send a short description such as medical devices or coffee shop and get back the closest matching codes, best match first. Each result includes the mcc code, its official description, and a broad category.

Results are suggestions to show a person, who picks the right one. If nothing is a reasonable match, matches is an empty list rather than a guess.
