Refund a captured card charge

Refunds a captured card charge (full or partial) and posts a reversal (refund) transaction on the original payment. Only valid once the charge is captured — refunding an auth-only hold is rejected (void it instead).

400Invalid request payload or query parameters.

401Missing or invalid authentication credentials.

402The acquirer declined the refund.

403Caller lacks the required role/permission for the resource.

404Resource does not exist or is not visible to the caller.

409Refund is not legal for this charge — e.g. an auth-only hold that must be voided (REFUND_NOT_CAPTURED), or nothing left to refund.

500Unexpected server error.
