Find the right Merchant Category Code (MCC) for a merchant you're onboarding by describing what the business does in plain words.

Send a short description such as medical devices or coffee shop and get back the closest matching codes, best match first. Each result includes the mcc code, its official description, and a broad category. Use the code you pick as the mcc value when you submit the application.

You don't need an application yet; call this while you're still filling in the business details. Results are suggestions, and if nothing is a reasonable match, matches is an empty list rather than a guess.

Authenticate with your agent onboarding API key. This works exactly like GET /v1/mcc/search, which is for dashboard sessions and other API keys.
